🌟เรวตสามเณร ผู้เลิศในทางอยู่ป่า
สามเณรเรวตะ เป็นน้องชายของพระสารีบุตรผู้เป็นพระอัครสาวกเบื้องขวา ขององค์พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า ได้หนีการแต่งงานไปออกบวชในป่าตอนอายุ ๗ ขวบ และอาศัยอยู่ในป่าไม้ตะเคียนเพื่อประพฤติปฏิบัติธรรม ได้บรรลุธรรมเป็นพระอรหันต์ในป่าไม้ตะเคียนนั้น เมื่อบวชเป็นพระแล้ว ท่านมีชื่อว่า พระเรวตขทิรานิยะ (คำว่า ขทิรวนิยะ แปลว่า ไม้ตะเคียน) พระเรวตเถระอยู่ในป่าไม้ตะเคียนเป็นเวลานาน ท่านได้รับยกย่องจากพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า ในตำแหน่งเอตทัคคะผู้เลิศกว่าภิกษุทั้งหลายในทางผู้อยู่ป่า ท่านสามารถแสดงฤทธิ์เนรมิตป่าตะเคียนให้กลายเป็นอารามงดงามกว้างขวางเพื่อต้อนรับพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า พระสารีบุตร และหมู่สาวกพระภิกษุสงฆ์
